COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – update
The Eye Centre in Rosyth will be reopen with reduced hours (10am to 4pm) for emergency appointments that you may have seen the GP or pharmacy for initially, we are here to diagnose and help for all eye related problems.
Essential eyecare is mainly for those patients who are experiencing significant change in their vision which may affect their work/driving/lifestyle, including childrens glasses that have broken or become too small. If you call or email for an appointment we can discuss this with you and in some cases receive a call back from the Optician to schedule an appointment. Scotland Phase 3 proposed for 15th July may ease these regulations further. We will keep this page updated and Facebook also.
All routine appointments will be scheduled in August/September onwards. We understand a majority of our patients are tested annually (Diabetic/Glaucoma/Macular Degeneration/Cataract) and we will recall you when safe to do so. We are also operating a full PPE setup and reduced service which means hourly appointments to maintain social distancing within the practice. Please wear your face mask when attending for any reason. We also have alcohol gel at reception to clean your hands when attending. The practice is sanitised between each appointment and any frames worn are quarantined for 72hours then UV cleaned before being put back on display.
Public safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff is the primary concern. Please be courteous and avoid touching surfaces when in store. We will not be requiring any signatures for any service at this time, and no hard copy of prescriptions will be issued to avoid risk of contamination. Email copies will be provided for those requiring this service.
We appreciate your patience and understanding for these measures that are necessary for infection control.
