COVID-19 (Coronavirus) 21st March 2020 – update
In line with recent NHS Scotland guidelines issued late on Friday 20th March 2020, all opticians in Scotland will no longer be able to carry out routine eye examinations from Monday 23rd March 2020 until further notice.
The Eye Centre – Rosyth will still be open for emergency appointments that you may have seen the GP or pharmacy for initially, we are here to diagnose and help for all eye related problems.
Any future bookings will be cancelled as routine examination, however we will reschedule all patients when safe to do so, hopefully within 12 weeks.
Collection of spectacles and contact lenses will still be available, including any emergency dispensing for broken glasses and contact lens issues. If you have any queries please call or email the practice for advice. Our suppliers are still delivering products albeit a reduced service in these difficult times, so expect a slight delay on any new orders if needed.
Public safety and wellbeing of our patients and staff is the primary concern at this time and we are sanitizing the practice regularly between patients. Please be courteous and avoid touching surfaces when in store. We will not be requiring any signatures for any service at this time.
We appreciate your patience and understanding for these measures that are necessary for infection control.
